2016 Reunion of the Officers and Crew of the USS Richard B. Anderson (DD-786) is set to begin on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton - Valley Forge, Philadelphia.
Scheduled events begin at with a tour of Philadelphia at 9:00 am on Thursday, September 15, concluding on Saturday evening at our Ship's Banquet and Program

Begins with a 9:00 am pick-up time at the hotel. The tour starts at the National Constitution Center (NCC) at 10:00 am. Afterwards, we will have free time for an hour to get lunch and/or visit the souvenir shop. The tour guide will meet us at 12:30 pm to continue our tour to including visits to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell Center along with other historic sites such as Carpenters Hall, Ben Franklin’s grave and the Betsy Ross House. The remaining time will be a bus tour that covers the modern city including noted landmarks like the “Museum Mile” of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the famous Rocky steps, Avenue of the Arts and much more.
We visit Winterthur, an American country estate, the former home of Henry Francis du Pont (1880-1969), an avid antiques collector and horticulturist. In the early 20th century, H. F. du Pont and his father, Henry Algernon du Pont, designed Winterthur in the spirit of 18th- and19th-century European country houses. Our visit to Winterthur will immerse us in another time and place where we will have several hours to rediscover America's heritage through unparalleled collection of antiques and Americana and/or venture out over the fields and farmland to learn about the workings of a great American country estate and the breathtaking beauty of its 60-acre naturalistic Winterthur Garden.
A three hour tour of historic Valley Forge. After Valley Forge we will move down the road a few miles for lunch and a quick look at the architecture of the famous King of Prussia Mall.  This is the 2nd. largest mall in the US. It's a luxury mall with numerous upscale retailers and has three cafe courts that serve both casual and fine dining.
